DIVE SITES

The Southwest Gili Islands, also known as the 'Secret' Gilis, are home to over 75% of the world’s coral species and more than 3,000 species of fish, making it one of the most biodiverse marine environments on Earth.


With an average water temperature of 27°C year-round, the conditions are ideal for comfortable, exceptional dives.


With over 19 dive sites, the Southwest Gilis offer unforgettable underwater experiences. Calm, nutrient-rich waters support thriving hard and soft corals, alongside a rich variety of marine life including reef fish, turtles, sharks, boxfish, frogfish, octopus, ribbon eels, feather stars, and countless macro critters.


For macro enthusiasts, the Secret Gilis are a true paradise, boasting an abundance of critters like pygmy seahorses, leaf scorpionfish, ghost pipefish, cuttlefish, crinoids, and a stunning array of nudibranchs in vibrant colors and patterns—perfect for capturing these incredible creatures in their natural habitat.

Gili Gede Wall

Discover various kind of shrimps like cleanershrimp, peacock mantis shrimp or crabs and lobster while drifting along the wall in the north of Gili Gede. In the shallower parts it is not uncommon to run into turtles.

Shark House - Gili Anyaran

At Shark House (Sunken Island) you can dive along a sunken island, Gili Anyaran, a sandy slope with rocks covered with soft and hard corals.This dive site is the best to find blue spotted stingrays, mantis shrimp, thornback boxfish, scorpionfish and much more.

Sunken Island

The submerged island known as Gili Anyaran boasts 2 dive sites with stunning coral formations. The diving adventure commences on a picturesque plateau ranging from 0 to 30 meters, showcasing sights of humped parrotfish, white-tip sharks, and green and hawksbill turtles. As you descend along the slope, marvel at the diverse marine life, including sharks, cuttlefish, octopus, giant anemones, crocodile fish, and an array of captivating macros, all against the backdrop of the underwater wall.

Baut Putih

Batu Puti, meaning "White Rock," is an underwater wonderland of boulders and thriving coral formations. This vibrant site is home to schools of colorful reef fish, barracuda, lionfish, sea snakes, and cruising turtles. The highlight? A breathtaking expanse of large, soft corals that give the site its name. Batu Puti offers an unforgettable dive for marine life enthusiasts.

Lazy Wave

The macro life around Gili Rengit speaks for itself. Dive along a reef slope and enjoy healthy bright soft corals, feather stars, nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, anemone shrimps, porcelain shrimps, crabs, turtles, cuttle fish, trumpet fish and much more. Start or end your dive at Wave Corner at the Stone Tower, built with layers of different kinds of hard, soft and basket corals. Varying from reef slopes, walls to a small canyon between islands.

Wave Corner

A lively reef bursting with color and marine activity. This site features an abundance of coral, home to schools of reef fish, snapper, and squirrelfish. Turtles are frequent visitors, gliding effortlessly through the gentle currents.

Rengit West

A macro photographer’s paradise, Rengit West boasts vibrant soft corals and a gently sloping sandy bottom. The site is teeming with reef fish, making it a perfect spot for those who love exploring intricate coral gardens and capturing small underwater creatures. A tranquil and diverse dive site.

The Canyon

A sloping wall adorned with soft corals, The Canyon is a vibrant haven for reef fish, turtles, and the occasional blue-spotted ray. The diverse marine life and stunning underwater landscape offers both beauty and excitement for divers of all levels.

Coral Beach

Marine life such as lion fish, white mouth and giant moray ells, striped razor fish, juvenile sweet lips, porcupinefish, mappa pufferfish and schooling batfish are just marvellous.

The Sand

Starting at just 5 meters, this dive site features a gently sloping sandy bottom, perfect for macro photography. Explore the coral heads and rocks, where smaller marine life hides in the nooks and crannies.

Secret Garden

The reef features stunning sea fans and sponges, providing a haven for smaller marine creatures.

Batu Layar

A vibrant dive site adorned with a rich variety of coral, Batu Layar is teeming with marine life. Schools of reef fish swim through the colorful corals, while snapper, squirrelfish, and turtles

Batu Belandra

Batu Belandra is home to vibrant soft corals and a gently sloping sandy bottom. The site is abundant with reef fish, creating a lively and colorful underwater scene.

The Lighthouse

Start at 5 metres on a sloping sandy bottom. Good for macro photographers! Lots of smaller marine life spread out through coral heads and rocks.

Orange County

A lively and colorful dive site known for its vibrant coral gardens and diverse marine life. With a depth of 18 meters, Orange County offers a great mix of beauty and exploration for divers of all levels.

Stairs To Medang

This unique site features coral terraces that resemble underwater stairs, leading to deeper waters. The site is home to lionfish, scorpionfish, and vibrant reef fish, giant trevally and schools of barracuda. This dive offers a blend of macro and wide-angle opportunities.

Jay’s Cathedral

True to its name, Cathedral features towering underwater structures that create a cathedral-like effect. The site is adorned with soft corals and sea fans, hosting an abundance of macro life, including pygmy seahorses and crustaceans. This peaceful dive is ideal for those who enjoy intricate marine ecosystems.

Super Rich Fan

Super Fan Rich lives up to its name, boasting colossal sea fans that serve as vibrant underwater metropolises for elusive pygmy sea horses. These majestic fans provide shelter to a fascinating array of marine life, offering endless opportunities for macro enthusiasts and underwater photographers alike. Beyond the fans, this site reveals a treasure trove of small, colourful critters tucked into every nook and cranny.
